Job Summary
The Project Coordinator supports project managers and project teams in planning, coordinating, tracking, and executing business or technical projects. The role provides project administration, logistics, reporting, scheduling, risk and issue tracking, and analytical support to help ensure projects are delivered within defined scope, timelines, and resources.
Working under the guidance of a Project Manager, the position develops project management capabilities while taking ownership of well-defined project activities and supporting continuous improvement through effective documentation and sharing of lessons learned.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project coordination, administrative, and logistics support to Project Managers and project teams.
- Support the planning and execution of defined project activities, deliverables, and timelines.
- Assist in identifying, tracking, and resolving project issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and provide timely status updates to the Project Manager and project team.
- Maintain project schedules, action trackers, databases, project notes, and other project documentation.
- Support project budget planning, expense tracking, and resource planning activities.
- Assist with preparing project plans, timelines, presentations, reports, and status updates.
- Support identification, assessment, tracking, and mitigation of project risks.
- Use appropriate project management and quality tools to identify potential risks and support corrective actions.
- Track project scope, deliverables, milestones, and dependencies to support timely project completion.
- Coordinate meetings, maintain action items, and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely closure.
- Conduct basic research and data analysis to support project decisions and recommendations.
- Document project learnings and lessons learned and share relevant information with other teams.
- Apply lessons learned and established project management practices to improve project execution.
- Support effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Ensure project activities are aligned with organizational goals, quality expectations, and defined processes.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant project management certification or training is an advantage.
Skills & Experience
- Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills acquired through training or on-the-job experience.
- Basic understanding of project management principles and processes.
- Experience supporting project planning, scheduling, tracking, reporting, or coordination activities.
- Ability to track project scope, schedule, resources, budgets, risks, issues, and deliverables.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Customer-focused approach with strong follow-through and accountability.
- Ability to manage complexity, resolve issues constructively, and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Resourcefulness and ability to work independently on assigned activities while seeking guidance when required.
Willingness to learn and develop project management and business process skills.
Qualifications
