Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Junior Design Engineers based in Chennai. The role involves supporting senior engineers in designing busduct systems and related products, preparing detailed engineering drawings and 3D models, and performing basic mechanical and electrical calculations. Junior Design Engineers will assist in creating and updating product documentation, bills of materials, and design specifications, while coordinating with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with standards. Daily tasks include using CAD tools, reviewing design requirements, participating in design reviews, and responding to engineering change requests. The role also involves learning and adhering to company design processes, safety guidelines, and industry norms.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills to support concept development, detailing, and optimization of busduct systems.
• Candidates should possess solid Mechanical Engineering skills to perform basic stress checks, layout planning, and evaluation of structural and thermal aspects.
• Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills to create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using industry-standard software.
• Candidates should possess foundational Electrical Engineering skills to understand power distribution requirements, ratings, and safety considerations.
• Candidates should also have good analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to follow engineering standards and procedures.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams, and willingness to learn from senior engineers are expected.
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering disciplines is preferred; prior internship or project experience in design is an added advantage.
